Q: How do these Affirmation cards work/what was the intended purpose of this project?
A: Affirmations are positive phrases or statements that you say to yourself to challenge unhelpful or negative thoughts. You may choose positive affirmations to motivate yourself, encourage positive changes or boost your self-esteem. If you often find yourself getting caught up in negative self-talk, positive affirmations can be used to assist you. You can train your brain to think in a more positive and beneficial way to promote wellbeing. Once affirmations are learned, they work by coming to mind when a belief is challenged.

The intended purpose of African Affirmations is to build self-esteem and a sense of pride and belonging through positive representation to raise healthy children. Themes focus on highlighting each child’s uniqueness, accepting oneself and others, improving self-esteem and building positive beliefs about oneself and the world they are in.

Q: How many cards are in each set?
A: 30 with an additional wild card for children to create their own affirmation.

Q: In what languages are the cards available?
A: English and Braille. Other African languages coming soon!

Q: Are there partnership opportunities with African Affirmations?

The Fix Scholarship & Diketo Inclusive Education maintain a joint 20 years’ experience in the social development sector focusing on education, women, children and disability. Moeti & Surty are both graduates of the Gordon Institute Of Business Science (GIBS) Social Entrepreneurship Programme and are thereforetrained in the sector to facilitate & ensure clients receive a BBB-EE compliancy status and shared value while creating social impact.

Q: How much does the courier cost?
A: R70 for Gauteng delivery and R100 nationwide

Q: Where do you deliver to?
A: Nationwide

Q: How long will delivery take?
A: 3-5 working days

Q: Do you offer returns/exchanges?
A: Yes, only if the item has an error or if the product is damaged. To be eligible for a return, you will need to inform us within 24-hours of receiving your product. Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

Q: If you accept EFT’s, how long do customers have to make the payment before their order is cancelled and items returned to stock?
A: 5 working days
